The scenic facade of the church, built (1684-1767) by the architect Dazio Agliata, dominates the Piazza Ciullo with its architectural interplay of pilasters and mouldings. In the five niches there are the statues of Sant’Ignazio di Loyola, San Francesco Saverio, Madonna die Miracoli and of the archangels Raffaele e Michele. Two small belltowers with cusps and a sinuous crowning complete the picturesque composition. The church interior has a single nave with a large transept and it is enriched with polychrome eighteenth century stuccoes and many paintings from the novellesca school and the “Circoncisione“ (1797)made by the famous painter Giuseppe Renda who was from Alcamo.
